Plantation Broward

Plantation is a great neighbourhood for families because of its abundance of parks and amenities. If you’re looking to liven things up a bit, you’re only a short distance from Miami.

Plantation, Florida is regarded as one of Fort Lauderdale‘s most desirable communities. Nearly one hundred thousand people call this region of southern Florida home because it provides a comfortable blend of suburban calm and metropolitan conveniences. Plantation in Broward County combines a small-town atmosphere with big-town advantages. Plantation is proud of its status as a “Tree City USA,” an honor bestowed upon it by the Arbor Day Foundation, and of the city’s commitment to environmental sustainability and public green space.

The creator of Plantation arrived from the Midwest trying to escape the severe winter. Even though it became a city in 1953, visitors still flock there in search of year-round warmth. Many of the city’s streets, like Fig and Azalea, are named for the trees that line them. The warm and welcoming nature of the locals is symbolized by the abundance of pineapples adorning homes and businesses.

Nothing about this neighbourhood could be described as typical. The heart of Plantation is a varied and inclusive community that values its residents’ contributions. The city makes sure its inhabitants have lots of places to socialize by placing gorgeous parks within easy walking distance. The Plantation Museum is an excellent resource for learning about the city’s history, while the neighboring Botanical Gardens, library, and tennis courts provide opportunities for locals to take part in the town’s cultural and physical activities.

Plantation allows its citizens a good work-life balance, yet those looking for a faster pace can readily visit larger cities via a network of adjacent motorways. Most residents appreciate the proximity to high-quality supermarkets and shopping centers. Everywhere you go, there are beautiful golf courses and tree-lined streets to admire.

The town has a wide variety of artisan cheeses, desserts, and wine for those with refined tastes. In this area, there are many excellent suppliers, making hosting parties at home a pleasure.

There is a wide variety of single-family house possibilities in Plantation, from more modest neighborhoods to lavish mansions among the city’s many golf courses and gated enclaves. Many townhomes and condos have their own swimming pools and playgrounds, and the beach is only 30 minutes away.

Many long-time Plantation residents attribute their attachment to the community to irresistible annual events like the Big BBQ in Pine Island Park. Frank Vettri’s Secret BBQ sauce, named for one of Plantation’s early mayors, is served exclusively during this event.
