Riverside Heights Tampa

The community of Riverside Heights can be found on the east bank of the Hillsborough River. Although it is a relatively small area, it boasts a high level of charm and comfort for its inhabitants. The region consists primarily of residential space, but it is also home to three parks.



This Tampa neighborhood is located slightly to the south of the Water Works Park, which features a splash pad, playground, and an area that is ideal for families to picnic in. This park is home to one of the most exciting activities for children in the city. Rincon Guatemalteco and China Moon are, respectively, two of the best restaurants in the vicinity of Riverside Heights to grab a bite to eat.



The majority of Riverside Heights’ residential real estate consists of single-family homes ranging in size from small studio to two-bedroom units and small apartment buildings with two to four bedrooms. The majority of the residential properties are occupied by their respective owners. The majority of the homes in the Riverside Heights neighborhood are more established and older, having been constructed between the 1940s and the 1960s. In addition, many houses were constructed during this time period (1970-2000).



The level of a neighborhood’s wealth, ranging from extremely wealthy to middle income to low income, is a significant factor in determining its personality and character. Equally as important is the percentage of people, and especially children, who live below the poverty line established by the federal government. It is possible for the areas immediately surrounding wealthy gated communities to have high rates of childhood poverty, which is an indicator of other social problems.



The residents of the Riverside Heights neighborhood in Tampa have incomes that are higher than middle-class, making the neighborhood one with an above-average income level. An in-depth analysis has shown that the median household income in this community is significantly higher than that of sixty percent of all American neighborhoods. This neighborhood has a higher rate of childhood poverty than 70% of the neighborhoods in the United States, with 22% of the children living here earning less than the federal poverty line.
