Polo Club of Boca Raton announced that for the first time ever, those seeking access to the South Florida’s premier golf, tennis, and lifestyle resort community may purchase a 10-year golf and/or tennis membership alongside their new home purchase. The program, which is innovative for the club industry, signals a shift toward more flexible membership programming and is part of Polo Club’s new Live It…Your Way new member outreach campaign. It is an initiative aimed at targeting next-generation buyers who are looking for a seasonal or permanent home in an exclusive, upscale club community as well as those who are interested in golf and tennis. Membership is a requirement to purchase a home at Polo Club Boca Raton. Until now, golf and tennis with social memberships have been available, individually and combined, but only on a lifetime basis.

In the Polo Club Boca Raton, there are 1,700 residences spread out over 24 distinctive communities, ranging from townhomes and garden villas to estate homes and fairway homes. All feature private driveways and garages, high ceilings and golf or water views. A total of more than 2,500 members attended the celebration, which culminated in a $27 million reimagining of the Polo Club, which began construction in April 2014. In order to create a more open-air, fresher, and modern aesthetic, all socializing and gathering areas, five dining establishments, the Spa and Fitness Center, as well as the Golf Pro Shoppe and Resort and Tennis Shoppe were renovated and transformed. Among the renovations were a new grand staircase, new foyers, entrance ways, and reception areas.

This is a new beginning for Polo Club and was spearheaded by the member leadership and executive team to deliver the type of luxury experience that the residents expect and deserve, said Brett Morris, Polo Club’s General Manager and Chief Operating Officer. They view this investment as more than just a facelift. It is a complete rebranding and re-introduction of Polo as a vibrant, active, modern Club, serving a social, connected community.

General contractor Suffolk Construction provided preconstruction and construction management for renovations of the Spa and 150,000-square-foot Clubhouse, completing the project 12 months ahead of schedule and under budget, Morris said. The scope of Suffolk’s work included demolition, exterior upgrades, and expansion of the building’s footprint. Additionally, Suffolk oversaw interior upgrades, which included painting, custom millwork, granite countertops, custom carpeting, and imported stone and porcelain tile installation.

A special emphasis was placed on upgrading Polo Club’s five different restaurants from traditional eateries to destination dining spots. As an example, the Winners’ Circle restaurant now has a sushi and tapas bar. A new outdoor terrace overlooking the pool and golf courses expands the Club’s event planning options. 

A 35,000-square-foot spa and fitness center inspired by an oasis is one of the highlights of the renovations. The Spa offers a full range of personal services in a five-star, resort-style setting, complete with a separate reception area; secluded, themed treatment rooms; and a full-service hair and beauty salon. Within the Fitness Center, members enjoy a comprehensive selection of athletic equipment from cardio and weight machines to Pilates and Kinesis studios and one-on-one therapeutic services. Of course, while Dad’s playing golf and Mom is at the Spa, The Polo Club has many events to keep the kids from getting bored. Whether it’s summer day camp, a holiday party, or part of our daily program, we treat kids like VIPs. The Polo Club has games, videos, and crafts at the Children’s Activity Center and they provide safety and pleasure in a healthy and active environment.

During the day’s activities, you won’t have to travel far to reach The Polo Club of Boca Raton’s dining or lounge experiences. The Polo Club has formal and informal dining, poolside dining, and a sports lounge. Their exceptional facilities are available day and night, and they also host special social events. The Director of Culinary Operations of the Club oversees the dining, event, and banquet operations that seat over 800 guests. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served daily with five full-service restaurants and additional dining options. The Steeplechase is an upscale casual restaurant that is seasonal, but open daily for lunch and almost every night for dinner. By the pool or on the screened-in Terrace Patio, the Terrace Grille offers contemporary, casual grill cuisine. While the Crown Room is an elegant, upscale, gourmet venue that offers table-side flambé cooking and the finest cuisine. You will become a social member upon buying a golf house in The Polo Club of Boca Raton since this is mandatory for everyone living in the community. Golf and Tennis memberships are optional. The Club initiated new membership formats to allow people to opt-out of golf memberships after 15 years. After that, they can leave golf altogether or enroll on a year-by-year basis instead of signing a contract that lets them play golf all the time. Golf membership is also discounted based on age.
