Fairview Shores Orange County

Fairview Shores is a census-designated place and an unincorporated area in Orange County, Florida, United States. This CDP is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. Fairview Shores is located at approximately 4 miles north of Orlando.


Fairview Shores is a CDP of 3.6 square miles (9.3 km2), of which 3.1 square miles (7.9 km2) are land and 0.54 square miles (1.4 km2) (15.18%) are water. Eatonville borders the CDP by the north, the east by Winter Park, the south by College Park and the west by Lake Fairview. It is sandwiched by 4 lakes – by Lake Weston to the north, Lake Killarney to the east, Little Lake Fairvew to the south and Lake Fairview to the west.


Interstate 4 traverses through the east part of the area and intersects with Lee Road which serves as main street which runs east and west. U.S. 441 or N Orange Blossom Trail traverses through the western border and also intersects with Lee Road. Edgewater Drive runs southeast and northwest, John Young Parkway runs northeast and southwest which are part of secondary roads serving Fairview Shores.


Fairview Shores is home to commercial businesses, schools, parks, churches and recreational facilities such as XL Soccer World Winter Park (located at the southwest corner of Lee Road and Interstate 4). The Acre Orlando is another site of interest in the area overlooking Lake Fairview. Place of education serving the CDP include Lake Weston Elementary School (Milan Drive), Princeton House Charter School (Lee Road), Avalon School (Andros Avenue), and Pinecrest Creek Academy (Lee Road). Trotters Park and Lake Fairview Park is both located at the south western end of Lee Road.
