Las Olas is the place to be if you get your energy from being in the middle of the action. This bustling downtown area offers everything a city center should have, from dining options to waterfront real estate to exciting nightlife to green spaces. It’s one of the most popular areas in Fort Lauderdale among young professionals.

Although it is located in east Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Las Olas is more accurately described as a highly attractive residential area. Located so close to the area is the famous Las Olas Boulevard, which runs east from Andrews Avenue all the way to A1A/Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard and is a major tourist attraction.

Back in 1917, when Las Olas Boulevard was first built, it was a dirt road that led across wetlands and onto the barrier island of Fort Lauderdale Beach. One of the most magnificent waterfront residential enclaves in the world, the Las Olas Isles, was created in the 1920s as a result of a dredging project. Beverly Heights, Colee Hammock, Idlewyld, and Victoria Park are some of the other communities that border Las Olas Boulevard.

Parks, informal and expensive restaurants, shopping, the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, the Museum of Art, and the Museum of Discovery and Science are all within walking distance of Las Olas houses. Minutes away by car are the Galleria Mall, Fort Lauderdale Beach, the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, a variety of golf courses, and some of the best schools in the country.

The restaurants in Las Olas range from ultra-chic to laid-back, featuring everything from buzzing bar-restaurants to international fare.
