Lake Holden mostly covers the entire CDP from the middle towards northeast, within the lake is a little island called Island Warren.
Holden Heights is located approximately two miles south-southwest of Orlando. The CDP covers 1.5 square miles (3.8 km2), of which 1.0 square mile (2.7 km2) is land and 0.39 square mile (1.0 km2) is water (26.79%). CDP is 100 feet (30 meters) above sea level. It is bordered by South Orange to the northeast, Pinelock to the east, Edgewood to the southeast and Catalina to the west.
Interstate 4 Express traverses through the northwest of the community. U.S. 441 forms a natural border to the west and serves as commercial thoroughfare. Holden Avenue bounds the CDP to the south and serves as main street. W Michican Street traverses northeast from I-4 Express and travels to Conway to the east.
Holden Heights is a small residential area and is home to few churches and parks including Sacred Heart Traditional Church, New Apostolic Church, Cypress Grove Fellowship and Cypress Grove Park. Cypress Grove Estate House is a wedding venue located to the southern edge of the CDP. Pineloch Elementary School serves the area.
