Orlovista Orange County

Orlo Vista is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Orange County, Florida, United States. While the spelling “Orlo Vista” is used by the U.S. Postal Service, the community is shown as Orlovista on federal maps.It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community is bordered by Pine Hiles, Malibu Groves, Timberleaf, and Metro West.

Orlo Vista is located approximately 5 miles to the west and adjacent to Orlando and 5 miles east of the western terminus of State Route 408. The CDP has a total area of 1.9 square miles (4.9 km2), of which 1.8 square miles (4.7 km2) is land and 0.039 square miles (0.1 km2) (2.40%) is water.

The boundaries of the Orlovista CDP are West Colonial Drive (SF 50) on the north, Pine Hills Road on the east, Old Winter Garden Road (CR 526) and Carter Street at the Orlando city limits on the south, and Hiawassee Road on the west. Kirkman Road runs north and south and serves as main street; it intersects with State Route 408 that runs east and west. Other arterials include Powers Drive that runs north and south.

Orlo Vista is primarily a residential area crowded with commercial businesses, parks, schools and places of worship. Orlo Vista Park (Powers Drive) and Woodlawn Memorial Park (Old Winter Garden Road) are the two parks within the area. Oak Hill Elementary School (Hiawassee Road), Orlo Vista Elementary School (Hastings Street) are the few schools serving the community. The CDP has plenty of places of worship such as Church of Christ at Hart Blvd, Church of God of Prophecy, Life Baptist Church of Orlando, Church of God Valley-Blessing, and New Heights Bible Baptist Church.
