Exploria Stadium-Orlando

Orlando City’s Exploria Stadium is a 100% privately funded project. The site is two blocks from the Amway Center, within walking distance of the downtown bar district, one of the best locations of any soccer stadium in the country. The stadium has been designed to create the loudest and most intimidating atmosphere in Major League Soccer, with North America’s only safe-standing supporter section and a low-slanted roofline to amplify crowd noise.

Unlike several other US stadiums, Exploria Stadium is a soccer-specific venue and is host to Major League Soccer club Orlando City SC, as well as their National Women’s Soccer League affiliate club Orlando Pride. The male side entered MLS as an expansion franchise in 2015, with the stadium complete in time for their 2017 season opener on March 5, with the hosts defeating New York City FC in front of a sell-out crowd. Originally known as Orlando City Stadium, it was renamed in June 2019 after timeshare entity Exploria Resorts acquired naming rights to the stadium.

The venue has also been used to host matches for the men’s and women’s US national teams, while outside of football it has hosted the 2019 Cure Bowl. This NCAA football bowl game happens each December, most often utilizing teams from the Sun Belt Conference and the American Athletic Conference. In the future, it will host the 2022 Special Olympics USA opening ceremony. According to the club, the stadium was designed to create the most intimidating atmosphere in all of MLS, boasting a safe-standing supporter section and a low-slanted roofline to amplify crowd noise.

You can say that this stadium is considered to be one of the premier soccer-specific stadiums in Major League Soccer. It has become a must-visit destination for locals, out-of-towners, and any sports fans who want to witness some great soccer that Orlando City SC has to offer. In addition, it is equipped with a state-of-the-art video board, jumbotrons, LED lighting systems, and hydraulic seating. Videoboards are used at the north and south ends of the stadium, as well as in each of the four corners. Hydraulic seating, on the other hand, allows the capacity to be increased or decreased depending on the event. And LED lighting systems were installed to create a unique atmosphere for each match.

The experience doesn’t stop on the pitch they have four distinct fan zones located throughout the stadium which feature unique food, beverage, and merchandise options. Each zone offers something different – whether it be craft beers or a variety of fresh foods. For those looking to explore the area before kickoff, there are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance of Exploria Stadium. During halftime and postgame concerts are often hosted, featuring local artists performing music from around the world. Additionally, each section comes equipped with free Wi-Fi access for all guests.

It also offers 45-minute tours, which begin in the lobby located at gate D, on Glenn Ln between W Central Blvd and W Church St. Guests must enter gate D on Glenn Ln at the security gate, not on Church St. The tour comprises several iconic locations throughout the stadium, including the locker room, walkout tunnel, press box, The Wall, warmup seats, and the owner’s suite.

The stadium has set the standard for corporate hospitality in soccer and features three fully-outfitted clubs; The Heineken Star Club, Terry Parker Family Club, and the Exploria Terrace. These clubs offer exclusive experiences to VIPs, supporters, partners, and sponsors. For those who want to get even closer to the action, experience it at Heineken Star Club which is positioned directly behind one of the goals. This club offers unparalleled sightlines as well as direct access to the field for post-match player interaction.

In total, the club can accommodate up to 25,500 guests. VIPs are composed only of those people from Exploria Resorts and those with season tickets, who have the exclusive right to access all three clubs. They are known as the ‘The Exploria Elite’. For partners and sponsors, they are also offered a unique experience at Exploria Stadium. They can use the Exploria Suites which offers an elevated stadium experience with maximum comfort and privacy all while having access to field-level seats, dedicated hospitality staff, premium catering options, and more. To get to know more about how you can be a member of the elite, you can contact the Exploria Stadium for more information. If you do so, pretty sure it will be all worth it.

To get to the Stadium, accessible parking is available in Lot A where a hanging placard or accessible license plate is required. Parking is available for purchase on game day. Additionally, several forms of public transportation can get you to the stadium including LYMMO Bus, SunRail, and Uber/Lyft. There can be traffic delays on gameday, so it is recommended to plan your travels. Bring with you also your patience and your voice as you cheer on the team and savor an unforgettable time at Exploria Stadium.

Exploria Stadium has also been awarded LEED Silver certification making it one of only two MLS stadiums to be awarded LEED status for its environmental design with solar panels on top of the south stand providing 5% of the stadium’s power needs. The club behind Exploria Stadium continues to strive towards changing lives through sports, whether that may be through hosting big-name events or simply providing a safe place for local teams to play. Despite all this, Exploria Stadium remains an intimate home experience offering unbeatable views from every angle. It’s no wonder why Soccer supporters flock to downtown Orlando area each weekend to experience the magic of Exploria Stadium.
